Need Help IDing... From New Jersey... Pics Included.
    #4765487 - 10/06/05 06:46 PM (18 years, 6 months ago)

I'm totally new to mushrooms and as most of you know, New Jersey is not the best for Shroom Hunting.

Can anyone identify these? Edibility?

Any help is much appreciated... don't be too hard on me.

Spore prints are very important for IDing.

I'll take a wild guess:

1. Clitocybe sp. <-- many of these have muscarine, so treat as if poisonous.
2. Russula sp. <-- maybe edible, but almost certainly not worth the bother.
3. Russula sp. <-- maybe edible, but almost certainly not worth the bother.
4. Need a spore print color. What was it growing on/from?
5. Collybia sp. <-- maybe edible, but almost certainly not worth the bother.
6. Russula sp. <-- maybe edible, but almost certainly not worth the bother.
7. Inocybe sp, similar to Inocybe sororia. POISONOUS. High levels of muscarine. What does it smell like? I. sororia smells like green corn.

Happy mushrooming!
