Can't find VERMICULITE :(

I went to wall mart, home depot and 3 or 4 garden stores. they tell me they are all out of vermiculite because its out of season. what will I do :( Is there anything i can substitute for verm? can i use perlite? has anyone used perlite or anything else? how did it work?

You can get it online although it is more expensive that way. Try hardware stores. Most here will order it if they don't have it. Remember that they are capitalists. Show em the money.

Thanks guys! i'd order it, but i want to inoculate this shit tomorrow! i need these things ready by my birthday! jan 27th! i'll try the hardware store tomorrow ;)
