casing is not required in order to produce a flush. they are 2 different things....

casing your sub will allow you to achieve a greater flush than without casing at all.

It depends on the amount of nutrients available for the myc and also depends on how well you keep up with misting/fanning and avoiding contams.

No, don't add nutes. Any uncolonized substrate that you add will be great food for potential contams  I would just get as many flushes as you can from your current casing. Once it's exhausted, try Moe's outdoor tek and start an outdoor bed with the spent casing. You need to do alot of reading. Click up top where it says "FAQ". You will get a ton of answers to your questions and new ideas to try.

As long as you follow the teks and tips in the  casing FAQ you will get the most out of your casing. Reading through the thousands of threads here will help too. The information on here can be overwhelming, but just take it one thread at a time :smirk: You will learn ALL you need to know.
