?? Question about contamination

I had my first grow this spring, cakes averaged about 5g dried P. Cubensis per cake which I think is about average with the PF - Tek method. Anyways toward the end of the fruiting cycle, sometime after the 2nd or 3rd flush on most cakes, one by one I started losing the cakes to green mold. Is this normal to lose ALL you cakes to contamination after they have been fruiting for awhile and have nearly exhausted their nutrients?

Yeah they have to go sometime. The myc gets more acidic as time goes on, which can attract green mould more. You could dunk the cakes in lime water to help stop the the green mould. Lime will raise the ph which green mould doesnt like.

If one gets it move it out of the chamber FAST it spreads like wildfire.

Yes it is very normal. The longer a cake or casing grows the weaker the mycellial structure gets and is unable to fight these things off. It is possible to keep them uncontaminated, but the green is everywhere hard to keep it totally under control.
