I pressure cooked the jars but...
    #4747089 - 10/02/05 11:51 PM (12 years, 7 months ago)

I'm expecting the spores to come in on Tuesday or Wednesday. I was wondering if it's a bad idea to do that (pressure cooked them saturday night), would anything happen if the jars just stay like that until I inject the spores in them? They still have the foil over the lids and I put a seran wrap around them just in case, someone also suggested to put them in the fridge until the spores arrive.

Any tips? Should I pressure cook some other jars when the spores arrive or will these be safe for the spores?

Shouldn't hurt a bit. Can leave them around for awhile, just leave tinfoil and saranwrap on and keep them in a clean container.

Thanks guys, would putting them in the fridge or not make any difference?

Putting in the fridge slows bacterial growth, seeing there shouldn't be any living bacteria in the jars there shouldn't be a need to refrigerate.
