Both clear and cloudy spore syringes work if there are spores in them. Cloudy syringes are just make you feel more comfortable, before germination!!!!! You should eventually get germination. If you don't after a couple of weeks at temps. between 75- 85 F, then notify the vendor privately, and they will be happy to send you another.

Of course spore clouded syringes are much better then clear syringes. Cloudy syringes mean there are thousands upon thousands of MORE spores and a much bigger gene pool for superior mushroom production. Only about 4 or 5 out of every 10 spores germinate to begin with. If you have a watered down syringe because the vendor was stretching his spores to make them last you only have X amount of possible strains that can germinate and produce mycelium. A few of the most agressive strains will colonize and fruit to release spores. So if you have one vendor watering down his syringes and your only getting say 100,000 spores to begin with, and only 40,000 to 50,000 are going to germinate, compared to another vendor who is not being cheap and loading the syringes up and your getting 800,000 to 1 million spores to begin with which do you think will be better? 40 to 50 thousand compared to 400 hundered to 500 hundered thousand spores..... you do the math. There is no question the watered down spore syringes will have enough spores to germinate. But the real question is how good are those few agressive strains that grow on to produce fruits going to be? When you have spore syringes loaded down with spores your chances of getting better genetics, bigger mushrooms, bigger crops etc... are GREATLY increased. Your chances are even better if the vendor is only taking spores from the best specimans like The Hawks Eye does. If we have a crop of say 50 mushrooms from one flush, we usually only take prints from about 30 of those, the biggest, best, prettiest specimans. So its any good vendors job to give you the huge gene pool to work with to begin with. If we stretched our spore syringes they way several other vendors here do I would have everything in stock all of the time like some of them do. But we just dont do that, if we run out because we gave you spore clouded syringes so be it. We'll just grow more crops . I guess thats why you see so many posts about us saying the "quality" is worth the wait. So its our job to give you the best possible spores available and a huge gene pool to work with. Its your job to aid the mycelium along and give it the best possible substrate and growing conditions to produce big beautiful healthy "state fair" award winning mushroom crops . Your chances are greatly increased when you start out with quality material to begin with!!!!
