What to do
    #4744631 - 10/02/05 10:32 AM (11 years, 2 months ago)

6 days ago I inoculated several jars(brown rice flour and vermiculite) with P.Cubensis (amazon strain) and have not yet seen any growth at all. On the fifth day I took the tinfoil off the top of the jars because i heard it could be slowing growth by not letting air in. Should I try to re-inoculate them or will they start to grow?

Is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream?

six days is still to early to get worried about anything usually spores take about 5 days to germinate but it could be longer before you see any growth. I would wait at least another six days before you start worrying

It might take longer to see some growth from a multi-spore inoculation...
so wait it out a few more days.

what temps are you incubating your jars at?

I usually see growth in 2 or 3 days from a multi-spore inoculation.
