This is my 50 qt cooler I picked up at wal-mart (god I love that store). It fits very nicely in the bottom of my closet. I have a total of 92 half-pint jars currently in there. I have a total holding capacity of 96.
I have two layers going at the moment. On the bottom I have 48 newly inoculated jars, rye-flour and verm mix. Jars 49-56 are Thailand, 57-64 Gulf Coast, 65-88 Ecuadorian, 89-96 Tasmanian. On the upper level I have 44 jars of Cambodians in a brf verm mix. I already removed 4 jars in order to make two casings. I'm going to have a great X-mas and New Years!

damn thats a lot of jars. My friend planned on doin 48 but ran out of spore water so he got 36 done. 1 isn't colonizing for some reason and 3 he lost to contams, but hes got 32 left. Did you do it all yourself? My friend said just to do the 48 it was a lot of work.

It was a pain in the ass, worst part is the pressure cooking of the jars. I can only do 4 at a time :(. Hopefully I will be richly rewarded.

Sounds like you will. If you want to grow a lot of shrooms PF Tek probably isnt the way. You might want to get a bigger pressure cooker too. By the way, there was probably a space in the filename of the picture you tried to post and that is why it doesnt show up.

I have one of those small ass pressure cookers too. Its a 4 quart. I only used it twice before I got annoyed and bought a 22qt. Now I can do 12 at a time (if I don't stack).

Dude, the pressure cooker located at the link im about to give you holds 14 pint sized jars. So it is safe to assume that it will hold 28 1/2 pint sized jars). Since you are only cooking about 4 at a time, this will save you countless hours. The pressure cooker is made out of stainless steel and is industrial grade. The quality and durability of it far exceeds the quality and durability of Aluminum pressure cookers. But im sure you are aware of that. (If your gonna get a pressure cooker, you might as well get the best. In my opinion this is the best. I'm sure someone would probably disagree with me though). Here is the link:

did you just spend all day doing it? How long did it take? Did you get any contams? 4 jars sucks. My friends holds 7 and it was still really annoying.

that is expensive as fuck. My friends is electric so you can set the temp and it has a thing you put in it so i doub;es as a crock pot and it has a non stick coating and shit. it wasn't even half that I think it was somewhere between 60 or 80

Since you are doing 4 jars at one time. Im assuming it takes you an hour to for each batch you do. If my math is correct, it will take you 24 hours to doo 96 jars if you do each set consecutively.
With a pressure cooker that will hold 28 jars at one time, it would take you about 3 hours and 42 minutes to do all 96 jars. In my opinion, it's deffinately worth the investment considering the amount of jars you prepare. but if you have that much free time, I truly wish you good luck. YOu are deffinately dedicated to your work. I admire that.

My friends mom actually ordered it off of the home shopping channel. The brand is ultrex. I think you had to buy the crock pot thing seperatly so it is a little more. If you want details like exact price or model number or anything just let me know. I can find out for you.

The fan is used to generate the neccessary heat when the lid is down and to circulate the air if need be. The fan keeps it at 84 almost all the time. I exchange the air in the cooler with it once or twice a day depends on my schedule.
I have the jars on the upper level upside down to allow the CO2 to escape from the jars, since they are almost all 75% complete.
