pasteurize well and all will be fine. Horse poop is just processed grass and lots of guys grow on straw/hay and that is just grass

AHHHH!

I just had the same thing happen to me.

Picked through all my poop, put it out today to dry, and the neighbor cut his grass, so now there's grass in my poop.

I'm pretty sure green grass bits in a pasteurized substrate is a recipe for contams?

Time to pick through some more horse crap.

But as for the stuff that's got grass bits in it now, I'm looking for opinions on what to do with it.

Go ahead and use it? Will the grass ferment and ruin my substrate? (I'm thinking yes)

Throw it in a bucket and let it sit for a month? Maybe at that point the small amount of grass bits will be decomposed and not pose a threat?

Put it in my garden? (Last resort, it's not easy on the back picking little rocks, sticks, and occasional stray leaves out of a pile of crap)

thanks

In that case, I'll start going through it picking out what I can.

My issue is that I'm ready to spawn in a couple days, so this damn grass would be going in green.

More opinions are still desired...I don't want to botch my monotub with this stuff.  But if yall think it will be OK, then I'd prefer not to start over.

Edit:  I see that 3M who answered the OP years ago knows his shit (literally lol) and I know I've seen some reliable info coming from smokedout.  Things are starting to look not-so-bad...yeah, I'm pretty bugged out by this
