An 8th (3.5g) would probably be a suitable introduction.

An 8th for someones first time? You've got to be joking. Start with something small like a gram. If after an hour or two (considering they're taken on an empty stomach) your friend wants to go higher he can just eat some more. Definetly do not start with a god damn Indian dose.

i've tipped alot and 1 gram dry breaks open my head and spills everything onto the floor...3.5 can be intense.

An 8th is fine if hes prepared and has an idea of what to expect. 2g is the gold star first dose.

And what is an "indian" dose one 8th is usually the standard dose for experienced users. A heroic dose is 5g. Why do u call it an 8th an indian dose?

1/8oz is much too much!

My personal advice is to pick a dose between 0.5-1.5 grams dried. Even if you have the strongest shrooms the 1.5gr dose will this way not go over 20mg psilocybin, above which level bad trips can go psychiatric.

Doses above 20mg Psilocybin or 100mcg LSD tend to activate the deep dynamics governing your everyday functioning. If you fuck that up you might remain unstuck for a long while.

1.5gr cubies tends to contain 5-20mg Psilocybin, 10mg on average. 10mg Psilocybin lies over the threshold of relinquishing control for most people, making 1.5gr a "fullblown" trip in most cases while being at least interesting to most people in about all cases.

The average Shroomerite advises to use two-thirds of 1/8oz, or about 2gr.

Half an eighth lies inbetween my maximum recommendation and the Average Shroomerite's typical dose and dose advice.

Me, personally, i would slowly take people up in a succession of doses to ease them into it rather than shoving them in the deep end.
