help with drying

i am useing a drying technique that i got off of this site. im sure most of you have seen the drawing of the bowl with the dessicant in the bottm and the mushrooms on the wire mesh on top. my question is, the artilce does not state weather or not to cover the container. so do i cover the shrooms to dry or leave them exposed to the air? thanx

i would cover them. it will try to absorb all the moisture out of the air.

for best results, air dry them a little first - stick them in front of a fan (no heat) for a couple hours, then after they're a little dry, throw em in your dessicant chamber to complete the job. cover closed.
