Anyone ever try a "wetting agent"

at least some are organic, has anyone ever experimented with "wetting agents"?

If your talking about that gel that holds water, I use them in some of my potted plants that like a lot of water. But not in any of my
cactus pots.

talking about mushrooms here; i would hope you wouldnt use them for cacti.

I know, they will hold a lot of moisture, for whatever your going to do
with them, like maybe keeping the humidity high
