picked about 2 litres...friends have picked 6 supermarket bags full in one hunt!!! they're out in full force here in finland. this is also known as trumpet chantarelle or suppilavahvero in finnish.

and of course...frying it with a bit of salt, pepper and adding cream makes a delicious dish! :grin:

those are lovely! Adding cream with a bit o salt and pepper is the best you can do with em

yum! i love those. i found a lot in the pnw last year. i think they have more flavor than the fleshier chanterelles.

I picked them on a camping trip in pennsylvania last year. It was a nice treat to add to the fireside quesadillas we had. I don't think they have the fruity flavor of chanterelles, but they are good! I actually saw them, (or a similar species like appalachiensis...) being sold in a supermarket in new york last week and they were more expensive than cibarius!
