White Sox.
    #4730614 - 09/29/05 11:12 AM (11 years, 8 months ago)

It would be very hard for us to lose the division now. Even if we lose today and Cleveland wins, Cleveland will still have to sweep us to get the civision. That won't happen. However, if we win today and Cleveland loses, then the division is ours. If they both win or both lose then we go into the 3 game set being 3 games up. That means Cleveland has to beat us those three games, plus an extra tiebreaker game. Not going to happen.

I really wanted Cleveland to take the Central pennant, and I don't think them sweeping you is such a stretch. They are an amazing team.

Here's to the Indians making it to the playoffs, whether it's the wild card or central!

I also want the White Sox in..

My predictions:

AL EAST: Yankees
AL CENTRAL: White Sox
AL WEST: Angels (clinched it already)
AL WILD CARD: Indians

Nah, they won't sweep us.

Our pitching has been awful for the last two months until last week. We've since had 7 straight quality starts. Some of the hitters that were in slumps are startin gto come out of them and right at a good time.

I think your yanks will get the East. They are just playing a lot better that the Red Sox are. Even with the games at Fenway, I just don't see the Sox taking the East.

If the White Sox clinch the division today, then they probably wont play starters against Cleveland this weekend, which will help Cleveland get the Wild Card probably.

All I know is that when the Yanks face the Sox in clutch games...it's awesome baseball, no matter who wins.

Cleveland/ChiSox will be amazing games too.

Those were great games..that's my point..even though the Yanks lost, they were great games.

Game 7 was a great game?.....I don't remember what the score was but the Yanks got blown out. It was only close for a few innings.

Some of the other games were good. Boston won late in a couple of them. Then the game with AROD knocking the ball out of the pitchers hand (a ridiculous rule in my opinion). If you can flat out run the guy over with your shoulder, I don't know why you can't knock the ball out with your hand. I think that that is stupid.

Bah even I was mad at A-Rod for that one. Bitch move, he was frustrated because the game was going down the tubes.

you can railroad the catcher at home plate but thats it. I don't see why that is a ridiculous rule if you could interfere with every fielder you could not play the game.

I'm pretty sure you can do it to anyone. It doesn't have to be the catcher. I'm pretty sure I remember that correctly, however, I have done a lot of drugs.

Nope you are incorrect the only person you can make contact with when they are trying to field the ball is the catcher. Thats why when Arod tried to cheat he was called out. If you accidentally run into a fielder while running in the base path you will be called out too not just if you are consciously trying to interfere with the play

Yup, you can only slide hard into the other bases.

Well, I just seem to recall hearing one of the announcers saying that.

Well, I'll just use good ole MLB tv to load up that game and check....What was it....game 6?..im pretty sure it was game 6.

I hve to listen to the Sox on the radio now. It pisses me off. They just started blcking out the White Sox here. I live 3 hours from Chicago and cannot get their sports channel, but it still gets blacked out.

They just started doing it about 2 weeks ago. I've been watching the sox daily for two years. I'm so pissed about it.

I guess that they expanded their blackout region. Sucks for me, that's for sure. I can watch them after they are over. So, if I wait and don't see who wins then I can watch it when it is over, but that is very hard to do this time of year.

Hey, how many homers does AROD have now? Is it 48?....I don't think it matters if Bonds breaks the record or not, because if AROD stays healthy he is gonna break it himself. He's already well over 400 now for his career and I think he just turned 30 right? He is in excellent shape and it's amazing how you never even hear his name mentioned with steroids.

I was right....one of the announcers is saying that you can run him over, so maybe he was wrong.

Edit: Actually both announcers are saying that he can run him over if he wanted to.
