Mahayana Buddhist tradition tells how Buddha lived on one hemp seed a day.
This was enough to sustain him during the six steps of asceticism leading to his Enlightenment.
In recent centuries, higher doses have been favoured.

just red yellow and blue. green is a secondary colour since you mix yellow nad blue in order to get it. basically the primary colours are colours you can't mix any other colours with each other in order to get it. at least, that's what's taught in fine arts class :grin:

Actually there are two sets of primary colours: one for pigments, and one for light.

With pigments (paint) the three primary colours are Red, Blue, and Yellow.

With light itself, the three primary colours are Red, Blue, and Green. You can prove this by placing a magnifying glass up close to any monitor or TV - you'll see the three phosphor dots are red/green/blue.

The difference is due to how you reach a particular colour: with pigments colours are subtracted to reach a specific colour, while with emitted light colours are added to reach a specific colour.

I believe both answers are correct.

RGB is one scale
While RYB is another (full scale)
PBY would be RGB's opposite

Red Green Blue / Purple Light Blue Yellow
|____|____|
RGB

Red Green Blue Scale

|_____________|___________________|
RBY
Red Blue Yellow Scale

I was confused about this also, I grew up on a computer which used RGB (if you look at the TINY TINY little dots on your screen or tv, you can see that they are Red Green and Blue).

I soon found out that RGB had opposites.

On the RGB Scale:

Red = +R -G -B

So I thought well woudlnt the opposite be -R +G +B?

Well I did this and its opposite turned out to be Light Blue, which I accepted, but something was still wrong.

Following that routine, these are the opposite results that I got.

Red = Light Blue
Green = Purple
Blue = Yellow

I was sure at that point these were the opposites, but something felt wrong, so I looked at a rainbow to see if it had all these colors, and sure enough it did, but in a different order.

I concluded that mankind had fucked up again, and that with the RGB scale, no person can find true opposite colors. Sadly enough everything seems to be converting over to this scale, tv's , computer screens, game consoles etc.

That's not the order of colours in a rainbow, man...

A rainbow goes ROY G BIV

Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet

With Red being the longest wavelength of visible light and Violet being the shortest.

Look at the opposite ends, think opposites.
two ends, then two opposite middles, then two middles.

Oh and the colour you're talking about isn't "light blue", it's called "cyan", as in the CMYK colour model. Also it isn't "purple" it's "magenta".

Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key = CMYK.

It's a subtractive colour model, and is used in most colour printing.

Hold on, let me re-arrange the colors for you.

Here we go

Rainbows and their light spectrum are subject to change depending on angles and reflections and whatnot, but they all retain these colors.
