suggestions for my first documentary?

I just started a new course at school for video, and turns out we need to make a 3-5 minute documentary.
I am no stranger to video, but I have never done a documentary without just using other peoples clips.. the catch is this time I have to film my own interviews / etc. We get to use an expensive camera, so it will be on campus with a green-screen for 20 mins, but I also have a few friends with cameras that can help out..
but more importantly i have a wireless, color hidden video camera, and I would love to use it for this.. only thing is I have no idea where to start, or who I could interview that would be interesting. My timeframe isn't very much, I have about 3 weeks to plan, then 1 week to shoot, then another month to put it all together.
So I ask you, what would be a cool documentary to do in 3-5 minutes that does not involve drugs, alcohol or obscene stuff (I will be using it for portfolio, so nothing to extreme)?

if you live in the city, i think bike messengers would be a great subject. they are really interesting characters. but whatever you choose, do keep it simple.

The work day of a nurse, physician, ect. but you may have privacy issues there, unless ofcourse you're just interviewing, then you should be able to do that easily.
If you are shooting a video, that's going to be tough. AFOAF would work the best, because there is a connection. If you are just interviewing total strangers, make it as comfortable as possible. Plan everything ahead. I hope I atleast sparked an idea.

Do it on a homeless man.
Ask one if you can follow them around all day, see their routine. How did they end up homeless? how do they feel about it.. how do they survive?
I dunno, shootin out ideas.

I like the homeless guy idea. I know this one homeless guy named richard, who used to play in a reggae band and when he come to st. croix one day his band left him here hafter he took a couple hits off a crack pipe. It is cool to learn about that kind of stuff and other peoples paths in life that lead up to where they are today.
