I am regularly a heavy stoner. But revently ive taken upon shrooms which I enjoy. My freind lives in front a large cow farm. My freind brought it upon me that shrooms grow in cow poop. I live in Southern Ohio. Thanks

congratulations, however this is the wrong forum for introductions. either way welcome to the shroomery.

Ohio actives:
Gymnopilus aeruginosus (Peck) Singer. (Stamets, 1996).
Gymnopilus luteofolius
Gymnopilus spectabilis (Fr.) Smith=G. junonius (Fr.) Orton.
Panaeolus subbalteatus Berkeley & Broome. (Pollock, 1976).
Psilocybe azurescens (Stamets, 1996) (Introduced)
Psilocybe caerulipes (Peck) Sacc. (Guzm?n, 1983; Smith & Weber-Smith, 1980).

the only mushrooms out of that list that you might find would be Pan Subbs, but they are rarely on cow dung, and found more commonly on rotting hay or horse dung (specialy processed rotting hay). So that means your friend isn't very smart. Get some new friends, read up on the shroomery a little more, and :spliff:

Well it is a cow farm or some type of farm with animals that shit. I heard that you have to give cows certain hay to get the desired shrooms. There is also alot of rolled up hay lying around, I figure its been there for a while so its got to be rotting right?

did your friend also tell you that chewing rocks gets you high? really you should try it!

forget whatever your friend has told you, read the main site www.shroomery.org and learn all the basics. once you know how they grow, what they grow on, which grow in your state, and what time of the year (all info you can find on your own), you will most likely be able to find some sort of active mushroom. But until then you need to put some large sound blocking object into your friends mouth, and do some reading in the FAQ's.

heres some links to start you off

the list of active mushrooms in your state can be found here

There is also alot of rolled up hay lying around

I would keep an eye on that hay, looking for Panaeolus subbalteatus.
