Popular desire to control dreams
    #4726382 - 09/28/05 07:07 PM (11 years, 2 months ago)

That would be cool wouldnt it, to control dreams like in that movie Waking life. But who are we to say that we arent controlling a dream right now? Is there an inner desire as well as an outer that often conflict the decision of what we see and what we want ourselves to see. And ill let all you genius's finish the rest.

Many people claim to able to lucid dream.

there's never any control, only the illusion of it (but let's not derail all this inot another meaningless argument about free will).  all i want in terms of lucid dreaming is to develop the ability of maintaining coherence during my observations.  i have no desire to stir the dream wherever the hell i feel like it, i just want to be able to maintain my awareness while i'm being experienced by the dream.

wanting to control my dreams was always my motivation for trying to lucid dream.

but that's an interesting desire isn't it? to control one's dreams?
