Bird seed experiment

I got bored so I tried an experiment with 2 1/2 pt jars of birdseed Friday. Saw what I thought was micellum growth yesterday, confirmed today. I got birdseed with sunflower seeds so I put it in water, the other seeds sunk, so I took the floating sunflower seeds out. I boiled the boiled the birdseed for one hour, then drained the water off. Then I let it sit for 30 min between some paper towels to get excess water off. After that I put it in jars and sunflower seeds on top, like the verm with the PF. They were boiled for 45 min and inoced 1 hr later after being in the fridge. So far it looks good, nice growth on sides and bottom. I'll shake the jars Sat and maybe then a week later....if there's no contam. I'll post a follow up in a week or so.

One week. No contam. Started to rapidly colonize yesterday. Center of the bottom doesn't seem to want to colonize, may put them in oven and inject some water tonight. Other than that everything going good. On pace to birth in 2 weeks or so.

Really have to work on those comprehension skills Beppo.
ShroomFarmer said he did the jars on Friday, and assuming he doesn't possess the ability to travel 2 day into the future, he must have meant the previous Friday, the 23rd.
So on the 3oth, it is a week!

LOL... thats funny... its almost like hes making his own success story up.. Ummm so when he "Births" in 2 weeks is that reallly going to be 4 days since somehow 1 week was 2 days?... Maybe hes on Shroom Mountain time... who knows... Anyhow.. Good Luck!....
