popcorn soaking too long

Well I forgot about the popcorn I had soaking, and by noon tommorrow it'll have been soaking for 48 hours instead of 24. Will it be okay? Should I just boil the corn for an hour then drain and fill the jars like usual, or should I alter the procedure somehow to compensate for the over-soaking, if that's even a problem at all.

Should be ok. Change the water if you can. Popcorn is known for it very poor absorption so it will not be over hydrated. Do whatever you usually do

yeah i was going to pressure cook like four half pint jars last night, but i realized that the popcorn only expanded like 1.2 times its original size, so I only could fill two.
Because i didn't want to waste energy on PCing just the two jars, I put two layers of paper towels over the top hanging over the sides and put the screw lid on.
I then put it in the freezer untill ready to use.
think it will do any damage?
unless it gets freezer burnt i cant imagine it would be bad.
has anybody ever done this before?
and now that im thinking about it, what cold temperatures does bacteris die at? It must be way below what a freezer can acheave, right? I was just wondering though....
