Vinyl electrical tape is often a good substitute for parafilm.

Parafilm is soooo fun to play with though, that has to be the funnest thing in a bio lab to just footle with.

PS. Footle is a word I made up just now to mean "play with".

Also, I know that footle, when used as I used it there is not used right, it would mean "play with with" but I just dont care so there.

I use a 1 1/2 inch piece of an PE plastic wrap.
Cheap and allows air exchange.
