decided on mycobag for first grow , have another question

Hi everyone
I am about to order my very first mycobag for my very first grow! so excited! I think I may still have one problem. I have heard that the best temp. to grow GTs with is 85 degrees. The problem is, my parents really like to keep the house cool as in 65-70 degrees. How can I keep my mushrooms in the correct temperature and humidity? Do I need to purchase a humidity bag along with my mycobag and spores? Also can anyone tell me what the average yield for a mycobag from sporebank.com is?
Thanks for all your help

Easiest solution- don't grow in your parent's house. Bad news.
That being said, there are all kinds of incubation techniques you can use to keep them warm- like a TiT incubator with the lid open, or a heating pad/blanket, etc. Be creative.

i know its not what you want to here but growing in your parents house without their consent is really wrong. maybe you should grow at a friends house. I mean you dont need them around you all day every day. just go over and check on the periodically. But make sure everyone in your friends house is cool with it.

I should have said it guys, sorry. I am growing with their consent. So its not going to be an issue with them.

i just had a quick question related to this - if one were to use a TIT for mycobags, why do you say leave the lid open? for air exchange? i've been having some problems colonizing my most recent bags and i was wondering if it's because i'm suffocating them.

Can somebody please give me a link that explains this TIT incubator or just explain it themselves? I can't find it using the search function, all I see is references to it.
Thanks

TiT can be used to incubate ANYTHING. Jars, bags, rubbermaid containers, you name it. It can be difficult to regulate the temperature if you don't have an accurate heater, or if the room is considerably cooler/warmer than ideal temps, and I usually find that the bottom of the tub is much warmer than it needs to be. I've tried several things- placing the bags on some kind of risers with the lid slightly cracked works for me. You may need to improvise a bit until you get what you like.
