greetings and namaste - a rambling
    #4721129 - 09/27/05 06:51 PM (11 years, 8 months ago)

Hi everyone.. you know lifes been pretty crazy/cool/weird lately.
So I got back to my hometown after travelling for a year. That's cool. Old friends, new friends, all that jazz. Band is slowly but surely getting back together. Got a job serving at a sushi bar which unfortunately eats all my freaking time every day. Going to a gathering this weekend. Met a really cool chick this weekend, who also happens to be hot.. who happens to enjoy sex more than I do.. and really, really, really.. digs me.. which is kind of scary. But anyways the past three days have been fuck marathons. I'm cool with that. But I don't believe in marriage yet... too many bad examples. Dependent relationships suck ass.

So here I sit at cyberground, an internet cafe where you pay $2/hour and where all the geeks come to play WoW and Medal of Honor and whatnot. But it's pretty cool because you can smoke and it's open until 6am. Burning my money away.. hopefully I'll have a laptop soon. Also I've been sleeping on a friend's couch since I got back and it kind of sucks because I don't want to be a burden or whatever, but I have several prospects for rooms in the area. Yeah and I can't drive, since license is suspended and I sold my cars.. so I'm looking at purchasing a bike. There's a bike shop near my house.. looking at a Marin street/urban (hybrid) bike for about 400. Any suggestions?

So yeah. Other than that I just felt like rambling, since I have nothing else to post about. I'm going to eat some klonopins and play Day of Defeat. Hi friends! Peace.

That's awesome that you're doing well and everything is piecing together for you. :sun:

Two dollars an hour for a place like that doesn't sound bad at all.

Yeah man sounds like things are on the up. In terms of bikes...it depends on what your budget is. I would HIGHly recommend Novara and Cannondale: they are brand names that are truly worth it.

And yeah...definitely don't want to rush into something like marriage.

i'd say get a used bike...
and embrace your self for whatever is going to happen in the near future... getting sattled will bring bad old things you did'nt have to deal with for a while so sit tight and hang in there!

and be sure to enjoy the ride as well

:yesnod: me too. go to a couple of garage sales, pick up a few different 10 speeds, and piece them together to get a franken-bike!

go with the cheapest bike, it's gonna get worn out, unless you can AFFORD something nice, otherwise $5 could get the bike and $395 could go for the chickybird

Agreed. And whatever bike I do get will get much better gas mileage than a hybrid

You know, Day of Defeat Source came out yesterday. You have to pay 20 bucks though, I thought that was kind of lame.
