Fed-Ex, risky or convenient?
    #4720701 - 09/27/05 05:31 PM (11 years, 2 months ago)

I read a thread about sending shrooms via US Mail which sparked me to ask this question.
My roomate is going to be studying abroad next semester in Spain, my other roomate and I were planning on giving him several hundred dollars to mail back some; tasty bubble hash, those papers that are hammered out kief, good pot, and really anything that is cool and would otherwise be contraband. We were planning on mailing the goods in two different packages, enclosed in some kind of preserved food container (with food in it) and mailing it through Fed-Ex using a false name for the return label.
-I've heard that many people use Fed-Ex to transport small amounts of heroin and other drugs, but I have not heard much on the ability to get drugs out of a country.

advice?

I wouldn't. It's a hell of a risk, and the penalties for getting caught outweigh the benefits IMHO.

and use mail forwarding services in addition to the fake names and fake return addresses, and when you get the package write "return to sender on it" and keep it lying around for a few weeks without opening it and if you can register it USPS first class mail since that (supposedly) needs a search warrant to be opened.

i've never done anything like this, at all, but from what i've read it sounds like the way to go.

someone else might correct me if i'm wrong.

I've used fedex for a few times domestically, never internationally. Never been a problem. Didn't attempt to conceal it at all, just put it in a heavy envelope and sent it along.

I really don't see why it would not work. Let us know how it worked out if you decide to do it.

I think the worst case scenario is you losing your money. There is another thread like this that's a few weeks old.

http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/1022737

Some people in there have actually tried it.

Get arround the dogs by shipping it in Sealed peanut butter jars. Wrap the goods in plastic and stuff them in the middle of the peanut buter and reseal it w/ a small ammount of glue (just to make it look like sealed peanut butter) I seen this in a movie called One Big Trip they were going through a check point w/ dogs and put all their shit in a huge peanut butter container and got away w/ it.

I am sure it would be too, but I ask this out of curiousity and lack of knowledge on dogs.
Assuming one was super cautious, could a dog really smell it? I mean like goods into ziplock, ziplock sprayed with lysol and put into another zip lock, etc etc. Or sterilized the bag.
If a dog could still smell the stuff, then damn, I need to give dogs more credit!

Yeah a dog can sniff though a bag easy (or so they said when the dogs "Signaled" the cops) - That peanut butter idea is good because the peanut butter is so thick it doesn't let any smell pass through it.

well if it was in a movie it must be true

dogs have the most amazing sense of smell
they can sense things that the most sophisticated equipment we can make can't sense
why do you think they are used?

there is only one problem with using masking smells, i.e. coffee or dryer sheets. they now train dogs and cops to look for them. i have a friend tried bringing me plain coffee from columbia and they wouldn't let her bring it. sucks, that was some damb good coffee.
