Native Americans
    #4720632 - 09/27/05 05:21 PM (11 years, 10 months ago)

While I was tripping, i was thinking, the Native American tribes had everything figuredout. They lived in complete peace, no propoganda, no time to dictate everything and totally relied on family. The took what they needed from the land and used all of it not wasteing anything. And they did use the ocational trip as a plus. What do you guys think?

Yes, like how to defend their homeland against the light-skinned invaders.

Many tribes were self-described "war-like" tribes, priding themselves on their warrior traditions. This long pre-dated the presence of the white man.

What do you mean by "dictating everything"? Also, the white settlers were just as family-oriented as the natives.

Only because they did not have the technology to allow them to be wasteful.

Yes, some central american tribes used hallucinogens...while performing human sacrifice.

I think you need to get your information from some source other than idealistic hippies.

Uh huh.
Although, I do have a soft-spot in my heart for the Mohawk tribe. A bit of the old ultraviolence.

Not complete peace. Native tribes had many battles too.

You say the indians did not have advanced technology.

Or perhaps it was a tradition to live off of the land. They did not want to change their ways so they stayed that way.

Who says they didn't want to change their ways? I bet if the Natives had been left alone for long enough, they would've eventually become greater.

Maybe if the plague had set Europe back far enough, it would've been the Natives landing on the coast of Spain.

But, none of that compares to style. Which is what the Mohawkians were chalked full of.
