What should I do?

I'm going to whine about my life again.
Well, I had two years of college under my belt before I quit it six years ago. I loathed college and I surmise that nothing could ever drag me back. And, most of the people I know who got their four year degrees now work in a job that has nothing to do with their major and they earn practically minimum wage.
I then worked in the real world. I managed to become a supervisor at a skateboard factory and I earned decent money. I got sick of that though and I left.
I then opened up a computer business and I earned decent money with that. Unfortunately, I hate computers and I do not want to work with or fix them.
I thought about opening a franchise restaurant, but all of the franchises I looked into are under contract to someone else for my city. Also, the independent business I looked into (a bar) would take too much startup money for me.
I went and took a tour of a technical school today. I looked at the 16 month "Maintenance Electricity" program. The program teaches you how to do residential, commercial, and industrial wiring. It looks incredibly easy because I already have a lot of the basic knowledge (I was an Electrical Engineering major). All I would have to learn is the safety codes for wiring and some PLC (Programmable Logic Control) stuff. Graduates of this program do everything from wiring houses, to wiring commercial buildings, to working in plants and keeping the electrical shit running. Some of these guys supposedly make very good money.
I am torn...I would rather open my own business than do the electrician thing. However, the electrician thing seems much more safe and practical.

Take what money you have, go to Vegas, and bet it all on the field for one roll of the dice in a crap game. If you win, open a business(and get laid, drunk, etc). If you lose, go be an electrician.

That would not be very smart.

You can walk on a jobsite right now as an apprentice and be in the same spot in the same amount of time as tech school. Only you get paid in lieu of you paying.
especially true since you've already got some schooling in that area.

How would I become an apprentice?
I looked into the local Union of Electrical Worker's training program. Unfortunately, registration starts in March and the semester starts in September. So basically I would have to wait another year to get in. Also, it takes five years to finish the union training program (although you will be earning $30 an hour at the end of it).

Sorry, I forget about the Union.
We don't have that here. Work hard get where you're goin.
Union is more like... time served and everybody works the same amount.

I'm looking to do something legal and respectable.
I am tired of being one of the largest cocaine distributors in the U.S. My millions of dollars, the ornate mansions, the fancy cars, and the beautiful women have really started to bore me. I want to feel what it is like to live the life of an ordinary schmuck.
