not sure what you mean.

The lids should stay on until it is fully colonized and then you should induce fruiting conditions.

IF your going to fuit the rye in the same container just remove the lid and place in your fruiting chamber. after its 100% colonized.

I would suggest casing it though in which case you would wait until 100% colonized, add casing layer, put the lid back on for another couple of days (3-5) THEN remove and put into fruiting chamber.

But is the fruiting chamber needed? I plan on fruiting five 2 by 3 containers in a closet with 2 air purifiers.

Is it possible for the mush to grow this way? of will it die/contaminate if i try to do them all in one place??

conditions will not be that good. I would suggest just going to walmart or home depot and buying a LARGE rubbermaid container. and makeing that a fruiting chamber. Get a clear one put some holes with polyfill and some kind of lightsource. You could just mist it to keep the humidity up but its pretty easy. I think its the bulk neglect tek but i might have my teks mixed up. the total cost would be about 10 dollars. but the results will be 10x better.

So , with the fruiting chambers the lid should be left on then? would it be best to say make some holes and stuff them with something?

with the fruiting chamber you should remove the lid from the trays but keep the lid on the fruiting chamber.

yea thatwas what i was talking about with the holes in the fuiting chamber. cut some and stuff will polyfill. the amount of holes and there size is how you control the humidity.
