    #471874 - 11/27/01 11:34 PM (22 years, 9 months ago)

afoaf used a whole bag of perl to line the bottom of a coleman cooler with 2" perl added 1/2 gal of water and hard pour for about 5 seconds of h2o2 mixed perl all together with verry moist consistance with about 1/2" - 1" of water on the bottom , how ofeten should he add more h2o2 and how often rehydrate the perl with more water , he thinks not for awhile because it seemed pretty moist , but hes also running a bubbler 24/7 ., what do you think ? thx.peace

it doesnt need to be submerged and it doesnt need to be 2" and as long as its wet you should be fine. ive used perlite on the bottoms of my casings and in 2 seperate terrariums and i still have half a bag left. of teh schultz bag, its like 8 quarts i believe? i dunno. mbe more but you shouldnt need 2 inches, thats just a waste.
