Can purchasing substrate be worth it?
    #4718439 - 09/27/05 03:45 AM (11 years, 2 months ago)

Has anyone tried any of the tennessee stud substrates and if so what kind of results did they get from it. Do you think buying it wholesale (pre-pasteurized) could be worth getting the extra mushrooms out of the time you save if you have unlimited space? Any input would be appreciated.

Here I make my own shit for incubating, but for dung, I go with an already pasturized mix of poo. I don't really want to be cookin' up shit in my house. So I just buy the prepasturized stuff.
But make your other substrates.
It's soooo much cheaper than ordering premade jars or stuff like that.

mikes shit is the best. Awesome customer serivce and shit ready to use right out of the bag. The stuff is pretty amazing. ITs definatly worth it if you have never dried/leech/pasturized your own poo. Getting the water content can be a pain sometime.

I would recommend using the tenn stud atleast for your first time until you know what good shit is like.

excellent results from that shit i mean rediculesly excellent results.

But do allow some time from processing he is very swamped. It took me about 12 days to recive my last order.

Tenn studd is some great stuff. I have used it before (pre pasturized) and the stuff works great. I can't really find H.poo in my area so for people like me, it is well worth it!
