Signs of deadly contamination??

I recently started cultivating my own shrooms (first time doing it). So far 1/12 jars is contaminated with what looks like blue/green spots of mold. Besides the spots and discoloration are there any 'invisible' contaminations, something that i cannot see or smell, or are all contaminations visible? Thanks!

contamination is anything that is not white and fluffy. Dont open the jars and smell. and yes you can see all of the contamination.

How far along are your jars? 1/12 is not bad at all.

My jars are about 10 days into cultivation, but the place they are kept in fairly cold, slowing down the process. (looks like 5 days in with normal speed).

You cannot always see bacteria, sometimes you will just get a bad smell with no noticable discoloration of the substrate.
