How do people take 3 & 4 upper level science classes and survive? Seriously. I need help.

If you need any help studying, I can lend a helping hand. My education was 90% science and math (electrical engineering).

Okay, sex isn't going to help me pass organic chem at all. (but it wouldn't hurt)

Thanks loads todd. Its just more that I feel like no matter how many problems I do, or how much I read, I'm always forgetting one part of a chemical name. Also, three dimensional structures are impossible. We have to be able to draw them from any perspective he gives us, and I can't visualize them at all. How did you get through organic chem?

Organic chem is a good time! Can you get the little chemical models? They are like "tinker toys" (if anyone is old enough to remember that!) I found that those helped!! Especially with the reactions, I would build the models and change them according to what was happening.

That helped for me. As for BioChem, well that is just A LOT of reading/memorization.

Damn, I miss that stuff, after my BioChem degree, I went back to school for a computer science degree, so I feel like I forgot it all!

good luck,

Yep, I took organic chem and I even passed! I did a lot better in the lab, though. I was excellent at naming compounds, but I could probably help you study the reactions, too.

My chem teach gave us this for making an A in her class:
-Read before class the materials which will be covered.
-Read your notes within 24 hours of taking them, studies show this you remember over half of information compaired to less that 25 percent if you wait longer.
-Go to drill
-(obvisously) attend class
-your already doing the problems

My old roomate took organic chem and got the second highest grade in the class and his schedule was like 8-8 studing organic. That might be him and you might not have to do that shit. Most of this your probably doing but this helps me in all my classes.

As a side note see if you can find what Glutamate or Gluterol does becuse this is the neurotransmitter THC increases along with others. But this one is special for learning I belive

My sister took three organic chemistry classes. She loved the stuff.

I'm sure she could make LSD if she put her mind to it.
