Honey Mushroom?
    #4716835 - 09/26/05 10:40 PM (12 years, 2 months ago)

Found in VA.  9/26/05  Almost in the same area as I found the last one's. Under canopy of trees, including  Poplar, pine, oak, and gum.  It looks like to me they are "Honey Mushrooms"  So I don't think I have anything.  Still working on a spore print...Hour 3..now.  Also, I've included a pic of the pice of wood they were growing on.  Not sure what that is eather...I think oak mabey? But anyway...just thought I'd share. :bongload: :diespam: :bigweed: :bouncysmoke: :scaryshroom:

They don't look a whole lot like honey mushrooms from that angle.. I'm not sure though.. need to see some more parts of the mushroom or more of a detailed description.

I agree with eris. Although the cap and stem colors are reasonable, I don't see the hairs you normally find on the cap. Also, we can't see the underside to see the conspicuous ring Honey Mushrooms have.

Happy mushrooming!
