Are these liberty caps?
    #4712970 - 09/26/05 07:35 AM (11 years, 2 months ago)

or scientifically Psilocybe semilanceata?
I picked them up in Switzerland in height of about 1300m near and on cow excrement.
It's my fist time hunting and I hope i picked up the good ones.
Thanks for your knowledge!

to me they don't look like liberty caps at all, though i do see the bluing one that you're talking about in the top right of the 1st picture.

the stalks look a bit thick imo for liberty caps, and the gills aren't greyish..yours looks quite light coloured.

best to wait for other people's opinion when they post in this thread

It would really help if you told us where you live. Or what they were growing from. Or if you posted better pictures. I dont think they are liberty caps. Take a better picture of the "blue" one.

none of those are actives, and that one in the top right isnt blueing, its fuckin purple. they are looking like cortinarius or inocybe to me, and the purple one just looks like a purple cort.

Those are NOT Liberty caps, nor are they any other Psilocybe mushroom. I like how some of these un-informed newbs offer their uneducated advice, or ask "useful" sounding questions about the mushroom's habitat and spore print...even when the said mushroom is clearly NOT AN ACTIVE! Anyone who's ever picked Libs can tell right away that these ones are NOT Libs. end of story.

sorry if i sounded like a curmudgeon right there...

however, hunting for active mushrooms takes a little bit more knowledge than simply wandering out on a pasture and pulling up a shitload of some random specimen.

Good luck in your future hunts. Just remember to do some research before your next outing.
