I'd take them out sooner than later. The can stand to be out of the soil for a day or two. That's just downright filthy.

I've tried rescuing cacti from cruel stores like that. Never trichos, and never really successfully either :frown:

Though, one gymnocalycium I got a year ago had it's stock it was grafted on die. Attempting to root it now (as it's a green one, unlike the usual pink/orange/etc) and it seems to have developed quite a bit.
