Casing questions.....

Im getting ready to do my first casing ever.

i currently am birthing 8 cakes in a chamber as such, it stays in a room which has a tempature at 70-75 degrees.

Now my question is when i have everything all ready to do with the casing, where do i store it?

-Can i store it in a chamber just like the one in which im storing the cakes in?

-Does the tempature of the room its in have to be 70-75, does it require misting, does it require a humidity level of 100%, and does it need light as do the cakes to begin pinning?

I just need to know if what im doing for the cakes (which i understand) is what i will be doing with a casing....or is it slightly different?

Slightly different:

-First, I can't view that pic

-Yes, 70-75 deg. F. is perfect for a casing (and cake)

- I have never misted mine, until after the first flush.

The water still in the cakes and the water in the casing layer will get you through your first flush.

- Humidity for casings should be between 80-85%

- And yes, use a 12/12 light cycle

he's got the tub in tub going and what appears to be the fruiting chamber has many air vents filled with ployfill. With all those air holes u should def. have enough air exchange. I'd just make sure to keep in 70 to 75 temps and yeh have some light on it. 12 hours seems like alot though. couldn't he get by with like 4-6 hours and be just the same?

^^ That's what I use for my Fruiting chamber

:smile:


I just:

-fan 5+ times a day

-hit it with 12/12 lighting

-lower the temps to 74 deg. F.

-get humidity in it

yea i think that my fruiting chamber should be perfect for air exchange.

Not original, but it looks like a bubbler. A stone on the end of a line running from a fish pump of some sort. Hopefully into a jar of water and hydrogen peroxide. Helps deliver fresh air.

What strain are those?  AFOF had something like that and they were all albinos  :shocked:  Very strange.
