is a 6-7 hour cold shock sufficient?

I have some small Cambodian casings gowing right now. I just cased them like 2-3 days ago, and im going to cold shock them tonight to induce pinning. I was just wondering if putting hte cups into the fridge from like 11 at night to 6 in the morning will be long en0ough?

you don't need to cold shock cubensis, do you think in cambodia the temps ever get as cold as your fridge.
if anything cold shocking is going to delay pinning, albeit for a short time but it will delay and stall myc growth.

Im not sure i havent checked the casings today. Its kind of an undercover grow. How many days should it take the myc. to poke through the casing? Im assuming that you are saying to wait until the myc. pokes through before i introduce the casings to any light?

you want to see the myc just under the surface or starting to show and then go to fruiting.
