Custom built glass terrarium, twice the height of the 1/2 pint jars large enough to hold 6 cakes and a fish tank bubbler. Do i really need a drip guard? Could i just tilt the drops off once a day? Any suggestions to improve this setup please :) Would black card around the sides and bottom ensure the pins sprout the right way?

Your custom built terrarium may not be big enough. If it's only the height of two jars, some mushrooms may hit the roof.
If you blacken the sides, they may ALL grow upwards and hit the roof!

I don't use a 'drip guard'.

Doesn't sound tall enough.
What strain are you growing?
My B+ are reaching an average of 6 to 8 inches and touching the top of my Sterilite terrarium.
Choose a strain that grows short if you've already built it.

Thanks for your help. Im going to put that white plastic crumbly stuff around the glass as well, to keep the heat in.
