Yeah this is a very tough discussion.  
Very debatable topic.
Personally I've learned many things from different chemicals, but I don't believe that everybody wants to or that everybody does learn something. IMO it varies from person to person and from chemical to chemical.

The mind of someone who is severely addicted to a substance, particularly heroin, learns lots of things mazzadope. What dealers are good, how to tell if your shit is pure, how to shoot up the absolute most efficient way. How to get money, etc etc. It's only stuff that applies to thier little junky world.

Thats the problem, people have the ability to suck in whatever happens on these experiences but they choose not to. And I agree that some chemicals can be more easily interpreted than others.

This is just a fact of the drug world. If I eat shrooms with 5 of my best friends I can bet for sure I am the only one who appreciates the deeper satisfaction and knowledge that this substance can bestow upwon a person. What am I going to judge them and look at them in a condescending way because of it, fuck no. That is their choice and maybe someday they will have their world turned inside out on a strong trip and see the light. If not they are doing just fine in this life, live and let live. Also I don't take mushrooms everytime to learn something, at this point I have learned what I feel I need to have learned. If I go eat shrooms at an amusement park I am doing it to be "fucked up" and have a good time. Those roller coasters aren't teaching my anything except that this learning tool can also be a damn blast.
