Oxycodone Withdrawal
    #4704549 - 09/24/05 10:07 AM (18 years, 6 months ago)

This is my 4th day without doing oxycontin and withdrawal symptoms are starting to get intense. I've been using approximately 80 mg everyday or every other day for the last 4 - 6 months (can't remember when it started exactly). I plan on quitting forever.

So far the psychological aspect hasnt been too bad. I've been smoking tons of pot and have taken two 0.5 lorazepam tablets to help me sleep, but I plan to stop using any benzos from this day on.

I truly wonder how bad its gonna get from this point on and was wondering whether I should ingest mushrooms or not tonight or tomorrow night to help me out.

I don't think you're supposed to do it right in the middle of going through agonies. I couldn't imagine it being anything less than hellish.

I think you're supposed to do it before.

I think the withdrawals themselves will help you learn your lesson

plenty well.

Good luck.

4 days... oxy... it should probably start getting better soon... you should be near or "over the hump" so to speak very soon if you havent already. i mean the halflife for oxy isn't that long so it's usually worse in a short period of time rather than long and drawn out and so on. usually the worst is day 2 or 3 rather than getting intense at 4 though so i dont know, maybe its not quite as bad or its worse. either way it should start getting better soon so hang in there.

May i ask why dosing on oxycontin daily is so good? Unless you have some genuine medical purpose.

I'm just curious.

I'm not trying to be obnoxious or arrogant. I'm just curious as to why, effects wise, people dose up on drugs such as oxycontin on a daily basis unless with a medical condition. I haven't any personal experience with such drugs, so I'm just wondering what are the highs of living your day dosed on OC's?

well at least you stopped at three days. i know how it is though man, and i have the worst situation possible. on top of an addiction i have physical pain that is chronic. good luck, you'll be able to quit, you've only used half a year which is not long compared to people that have had addictions for years and then quit. you can do it.
