Would it be possible to have some sort of notification when you go to rate someone that let's you know if it's already been done?

Like when you click on the shrooms below someones name it takes you to the ratings page, and under "Add Rating" it could have "You have already rated General" or "You have already rated Trade".

It tells you "you have already rated this user" once you try to submit your rating if you already rated them.

This I know. However, I think it would be more convienient for a user to be made aware of that beforehand.
Not a big deal at all, but if it is an easy thing to do, I don't see why not.
