I'm not contaminated, am I?

I inoculated my cakes 6 days ago, and im seeing a bunch of growth. Only thing that worries me is that I read growth should be bright white, but ALL of mine is very light grey. Since I sterilized the syringe after innoculating 2 cakes, I cant see how all 10 of them would be fucked.
Never hurts to ask though.. so what's the verdict? (sorry i cant get pictures, one of my friends is borrowing my DSLR)

well, it's hard to say w/out pics. Weak mycelium growth is often confused with cobweb mold.
If it is greyish and whispy, it sounds like cobweb. You will definitely know soon because cobweb will take over your whole cake in a matter of days. If growth is extremely fast, it is a contam.
Cobweb will usually occure in areas of high humidity and not a lot of fresh air, it loves that environment.
you can find pics of what cobweb looks like, and other common contams here:

well, it doesnt look like the cobweb mold in the link srgtm1a posted, its not nearly that whispy. the growth is in a splotch underneath each of the 4 inoculation site, which makes me think its not much to worry about. but, its definitely not the bright white everyone talks about..
ill go try to take pics with my webcam.. sure wont be the $1200 pictures im used to, but hopefully it can show you guys what im talking about..

well, those cakes in that pic are already birthed...it will look a bit different in the jars, but that will give you an idea of the general color of cobweb.
If it is at the inoculation points, it may just be weak mycelium growth. There are two types of mycelium growth.
Just give it some time and keep an eye on it. Within a few days you should start to see some rhizomorphic mycelium.
Any jars that are in question, should be isolated from the rest of your jars for now.

Just wondering, was you mix proper? in my exp. if you add too much water it sometimes looks grey for a while before it starts to cover everything up. but im no pro... bro.

well, actually when i steamed the jars it got boiling a bit too hard and started to bubble up over some of the jars. so yeah, it could be too much water.. i wasnt worried though because it wasnt a constant barrage of water into the jars, just bubbles like when you blow in your milk

Only you can say for sure what your jars look like in real life. All we can do is show you clear pics of healthy jars and tell you to check the contamination forum for clear pics of UN-healthy jars.

well, mine dont look nearly like yours do, but mine were only inoculated 6 days ago.
does anyone have pics of theirs around the same timeframe? i think that may be a bit more helpful.
Anyways, until i get my camera back, I think i'll just let them keep going. EVERY jar looks the same, so its either weak myc, or somehow my sterilization process got fucked.
not much I can do now (i dont think) except wait..

This is my first grow. I knocked this jar up with some B+ 9 days ago. I started with only 1 jar to make sure i can do it right, so far so good. It has sprouted much growth on the bottom of the jar.

Your jars are hard to tell from your pics, but if you have complete colonization in a day or two, it's likely cobweb mold

I'll get some better pictures when I get my camera back tomorrow or the day after. (i agree, the webcam sucks ass)
One other concern is that there are water droplets visible on whatever is growing in the jars. Its clear, looks like little water droplets. Could this be causing the beginnings of cobweb and is there anything I can do about this? crack the jars open a bit maybe?

I think they are okay. I did some grains right after my first brf and i innoc'd the grains with myc suspended in tap water. At first it looked like some kind of mold, it was grey with single strands not like the thight, dense and brilliant white myc from the brf. Now the grains look better and better with each hour.
The water droplets are caused by the growth of mycelium.(either psylo or mold, while mold tends to cause this in a more extended form)
You could try to use a lid with tyvek ore something, i personally prefer polyfill: three holes in the lid stuffed with polyfill(u can innoc through this holes) and a layer of polyfill between the lid and the substrate.

Cobweb tends to grow more globally rather than spawning at the points of inoculation, rhizomorphic characteristics won't appear with cobweb contaminated jars, also. So that's something to look for, perhaps you just used too much H20
