Supressed (unexpressed) emotion

Personally I feel that mushrooms can be great for personal psychotherapy if you know what you are doing. Sometimes we hit a roadblock and that roadblock can be an obstacle in our growth.
Has anyone every tried new forms of psychotherapy such as Emotional Freedom Technique or the Sedona Method? From my research on the internet, these are very effective therapies. I just started using EFT and it is helping more then I thought it would, I am not as emotional as I used to be.
If anyone wants more info:

Agreed! My shroom trip the other night is a case in point.
I have been interested in the EFT technique, but have never tried it. Can you tell in some more depth how you think it has helped you and any other details you care to share.

I will give you an example: When I get down and start doubting myself (dreading the past or anticipating a future event) then I use EFT (self questions and accupressure tapping), it allows me to release this negative emotion and fully accept myself for who I am. The next time I get in the same negative mood then I find it does not take me as deep and it is easier to come back up.
I am still very new to this but I will continue with this therapy because it is easy and helpful. checkout the DVDs at http://www.emofree.com/products.htm , very cheap and perfect for someone who would like to learn by themselves.

Thanks for the lead. I think Dr. Mercola's website has an EFT that you can get at no charge.

"Personally I feel that mushrooms can be great for personal psychotherapy if you know what you are doing. "
hell yes. i think mushrooms are probably the most potent psychological tool we have at our disposal right now. There should be a whole branch of the psychological profession dedicated to guiding a patients trips, like in the early days before mush got blasted by drug propagandha.
Almost every trip ive ever had has been potently enlightening and introspective, way too much so if your not ready to face everything that might pop out of your subconcious.
My perceptions about myself, my relationships, my life, my reality ... theyve all been brought into focus from mushrooms.
for some reason i dont have any desire to do them anymore though...
which i think is fine. When the time is right, i will know.
Never heard about those techniques you mentioned though. For me the best technique is to clear your head, prepare yourself with selected readings, meditation, special diet, prayer... and then just eat the shrooms and go with the flow. In proper set and setting of course.
Eh... i love to talk to myself.
