tyvek ?

ok so it goes jar, tyvek(a piece of tyvek cut slightly bigger than the top of the jar) screw ring on, without the lid ? is this right ? also with the tyvek doesnt it matter which way is facing up ? when you tyvek the outside of a house it has to b facing a certain way.i think? thank you

Different people do their jars different ways. The direction of the Tyvek doesn't matter at all. IMO without a lid, you will get too much air exchange and your substrate may dry up before it is 100% colonized. My suggestion would be:
Tyvek=>lid with holes drilled=>band=>tyvek/coffee filter with rubberband holding it in place.

5. Put 2 hole?s in the jar lids. One is a breather and one is for the syringe needle. Put a piece of tyvek over the top add the ring and some foil and your ready to PC. Be sure to leave room in the jars to shake the grain
