Well, I hope that the inept, unacceptable responses from all levels of Government have taught us all one thing.
That when the shit hits the fan the only thing that you can depend on is; the reflection in the mirror, then family, and hopefully some neighbors that you have taken the time to get to know.
The Police? No longer an argument anymore-cant depend on them.
The Government--in spite of them, we still have a chance.

I had my doubts myself. As for me, my dog is my early detection system, and my gun is my protector. Never had to use it and I hope I will never have to.
But ya, and this is no knock on the police, they usualy arrive after the crime has happened. Unless your lucky.

I'm with you there. I am never more than ten feet away from a loaded gun in my house and I know how to use them. My two brothers, one sister, mom, and dad also know how to use them. If anyone ever invades my house they are in for a world of hurt.

I don't keep my gun loaded, but there is allways a clip in arms reach, lock and loaded in less than a second.
But my loveable pooch will probably never have to make that neccasary, but just in case...........
And here in Indiana, if someone steps one foot in your door, armed or not, you can blow him away, no questions asked.

Get use to it with this administration. You think they're going to do a 180 and start giving a fuck about the people of this country? Disaster is merely an excuse to further their agenda and keep their pockets full of money. You voted for it America....thanks a lot!

Here in Georgia it is the same. In addition to that, all the cops are good old boys. If you kill a criminal they thank you and are on their way.

That is good to hear. In some states if you shoot an unarmed intruder you might just find yourself brought up on charges. It's crazy. Like your suppossed to ask:
" Hey intruder, are you armed?'
"Of course not, I wouldnt lie to you."
"Well in that case come on in and make youreself at home. And by the way have you met my wife and children"? Honey, grab the kids and come on down and meet our new guest."
I might be wrong here, I dont know if it is actualy law, but I do know of some cases where intruders have fleed and then been shot outside a persons home. And the prosecuters have not filed charges against the homeowner .
I think that is good policy.
