He was a great comedian!

Why would a higher being kill him?

I relate to Bill Hicks more than any philosopher. Bill considered himself to be freeze framed in time as Jesus at his angriest.

There weren't too many "higher" beings than Bill Hicks!

My coolest celebrity encounter:

*Bill Hicks coming off stage and "saying" to me*

Maybe its just the shows I've listened to, but Bill Hicks is far too repetitive to be called a great comedian. I've downloaded many different shows and he repeats the same jokes over and over again. Sure lots of other comedians are repetitive but nowhere near as much as Bill is.

Maybe so because to me he was one of the most original comedians that I have ever seen. Completely off the wall and razor perceptive all at once.

His Elvis KICKED ASS!!!

Cancer killed Bill Hicks.
He is one of my favorite comedians, but those jerkoffs who wander around quoting him with dumb smiles on their faces in some vain attempted to seem 'hip and 'with it' annoy me senselessly.

I was under the impression that it wasn't too long after he started getting more mainstream attention that he died, and that the shows that you have had access to were probably all from the same relative time span.

But perhaps not. I'm not too studied into it. Now is the perfect time, though, to go warm up some pizza, smoke some more out of this bowl, and put in his dvd.

I read his biography called "The American Scream" (i think) and in the end, i was actually laughing and crying at the same time (not to be confused with laughing so hard you cry).
it said (paraphrasing) "Bill Hicks died on (X day), two weeks later carrot top won the award for "Best New Comedian""

something to that tune. Remember that....carrot top ...beat...Bill Hicks. I think laughing and crying is the only way to go at that.

Yes, its sad that there is no longer a country named Egypt, and that it is no longer inhabited by Egyptians... :frown:

Civilizations rise and fall, and I sincerely doubt that one age of the Egyptian civilization were destroyed by aliens or committed suicide as a result of profound realization.
