Misting question

Would it be a bad thing to dissolve blood meal in the water used for misting a casing?

ah yes it probably would be, the casing layer shouldn't have any nutes available, so contams don't have anything to get them started.

Yeah I forgot about that, I'll use the blood next time around. It just that I tried the last crop and didn't get the trip I was looking for. I did 3 grams of dried BHT they were in WBS spawned on hpoo. All I got was a nice body buzz for a couple of hours and the colors were more vibrant. Maybe since I'm a larger than normal fellow I will need a slightly than larger dosage.

why are some people so worried about proper pasteurization or sterilization of the casing layer if theres no food for the contams to grow on?

so you don't get contams from the casing layer to the substrate
