Tired and not enough time.

It's simple really. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Well not quite, but here's how it goes:
There are only 24 hours in a full day. Let's say you work 8 hours on an average day + lunch break and commute time, time getting ready for work, that's 10 hours of my day. Now let's say I get in 8 hours of sleep. That leaves me with 6 hours left. It seems like that should be plenty but it's not. There's always something to do like wash dishes, or laundry or some random thing, and then I have to cook, eat, and then there's time to wind down and just play video games or chat on the net or read or something. Then I take time out of my day to spend with my girlfriend.
Now you're probably thinking ok , ok so what's the big deal? Well the problem is, it does get tiring. On top of that I'm not really getting anywhere that I can see. I want to be more productive and do something, but I don't know what and if I did know I don't know when I'd have time to do it. I'm not sure if anyone understands what I'm trying to get across but yeah. Suggestions?

I don't know man. Sounds like you've got it pretty good. If you want to go somewhere and do something don't you have days off from work? It's not important to "get somewhere", you should be happy enough that you're alive and having a place to live and a girlfriend are bonuses. You're doing great as you are.

I'm in the same boat man. It's like almost like Groundhog Day. Get up, go to work, get home, eat, chill out, sleep, repeat, repeat, repeat. I want to save up and buy a house, renting is brutal. Sometimes I want to quite my job and just do freelance work but i worry that I may not put enough work together to pay the bills. The 9 to 5 thing does suck though, it wears you down and keeps you from really doing anything other than work... Basically I don't really have any suggestions, but I know exactly what you're saying.

All I can say it that it's better than what I used to do, 12 hour days with one day off. My God that was terrible

Sleep 6 hours instead of 8. I work 50-60 hours a week and during workdays I usually get 4 to 6 hours of sleep. I catch up my sleep my off days.

I find that just makes it more unbearable. I usually only sleep 6-7 hours a night anyhow. All that does is make you more tired and want to do even less when you finally get home from work.

I'm in the same situation pretty much. Some weeks seem to go smooth and pass by fine, others drag out and are totally miserable. Some days even seem like they will never end. The only thing I can think of doing for myself is getting a job that I like more.. even though I'm good at what I do and can strive in the fields that I've worked in, I still don't really enjoy my job. Getting a job that ties in with something that you like is key. I want to get into some sort of science field. Good luck, just hang in there.. your good days will come, finding motivation to look for a new job is hard I know but sometimes changes are required to make things better for yourself.

I haven't worked since April. I am supposed to go to school for 6 hours, 4 days a week.. on average I might go 3 hours for 3 days. Heh.
My point is that I'm fucking miserable.
You lose anyway you go bro. Chasin' intoxication.

It's nice to know that at least someone else knows how I feel, even if you don't know the answer. I find it also just holds me back from doing stuff and I don't know why. Maybe I should go to bed when I get home from work and get up a lot earlier and doing stuff in the morning? Fuck, I don't know.
