what's up with that? can i get an explanation?
rules are meant to be broken.
here's some spirituality for you.....follow your heart not the rules...that is what everyone does anyway!
revolution comes from the heart. i don't know what else to say..but if swami was banned because of a dream thread than i think this whole community should examine its moderators and its threads (and decide which ones they'd like to post on or not).
personally...i feel..mean saying this...but I'm drunk and i would like to say that fuck all that bullshit.. let everyone (EVERYONE) be (BE) !!!!!
no censorship, no law, no nothing...just man (woman) and love !

There is a reason for the OTD, and this is why.
If this forum was completely anarcho, it would turn into the OTD.

what are you doing right now? who is to say one has more rationality over rules and over who should be banned or not. i'm against banning all together.
i'm sorry but freedom and censorship do not go together. there is a personal/individual responsibility that should/could be upheld that is/will/would make everything B...E....A....utiful!!!

This is a social structure, not a fictional utopia where everyone is always on their best behaviour and fully respects at all times everyones emotions and being. In any social structure there has to be an agreed upon set of rules. You agreed to them when you signed up. ON a cosmic scale, no one should be able to label what is truth, good, wrong, rational or real, but in a social structure, you have to put forth these parameters.
you are drunkenly idealistic, which is understandable, but the S&P wouldnt last for 3 days without rules. it would turn into the OTD.

of course everyone is not asking for perfection...we are asking for PEOPLE...and tolerance....
rules are nothing but words and ideas....you can not expect them to be followed but only hope to be followed.....or you can just surrender and let humans be humans....
i really do not understand how all of you people adhere to these "rules" when the only real rules are the rules of the universe (physics).....
be more tolerant and open-minded please....for the sake of humanity. but actually just go on doing what you would do anyway....everything is perfect as it is.

some 75 years ago, in rural USA, you could buy dynamite in cases of 100 sticks right off the shelf and you could buy a Thompson submachinegun with a big drum mag at the gunstore.
Why? Because freedom means SELFcensorship.
You can't put the dynamite back on the shelf. People will blow eachother up (or themselves accidentally) because they lost the ability to self-censor, their ability to DEAL with freedom.
Similarly, if you would let anarchy prevail the Shroomery would be an unpleasant place to be. Hostilities. Lack of quality of information. Pedophiles swapping kiddiepics in the mushrooms forum.
Some people cannot handle freedom anymore, that's why we all must live under a degree of leadership.
How's that for a philosophy

If this was over Trendal's thread, he totally deserved it. He was being a prick repeatedly. He was asked to stop, but didn't.
