Doing Cakes?

Some advice Please, I'm doing cakes and i was wondering if i still need to mist my cakes, im fruiting them in a 1ft/1ft/1ft. Ok so put 1/2" of perlite on the floor of my container, wet it, temp should be 85-90 degrees, and take off the top and air it out 2-3 times a day. Do i need to spray it with mist directly or spray the sides? Oh yeah does the perilite do all the heating or should i use a heat pad? Thx to everyone who responds to any of this post.

I would put more like an inch or inch and a half of perlite, and fruiting temps should be kept more around 75 degrees, not 85 which is a good temperature for colonization, not fruiting.
