Very very cool

It's wonderful to think about all those smart people contemplating the psychedelic forces

--------------------
What is this? It is a prolate spheroid, an elongated sphere in which the outer leather casing is drawn tightly over a somewhat smaller rubber tubing. Better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football.

-John Heisman

"I didn’t dive on one fumble because the way my leg was (positioned)," Newton told reporters in Charlotte on Tuesday. "It could have been contorted in a way. You say my effort? I didn’t dive down. I fumbled - that’s fine. That’s fine. We didn’t lose the game because of that fumble.”

-Scam Newton

Argh, don't tell! What if everybody here buys some tickets and I don't get any?

Just kidding, I'd love to meet some shroomerites there too! I'm pretty sure it's going to be a one-in-a-lifetime experience.

I'm going with my two best friends and my plan is to stay there those 4 days (if I get a recommendation by Escohotado maybe some more to get to know those guys on a personal basis -my mother knows Hofmann and Shulgin personally) and then head to Amsterdam since I was there just for a day last august.
3 days having breakfast at the pink floyd cofee shop shall prove very healthy for my ideology

So, are there any shroomerites who would like to come with me? Right now the prices are still pretty low and my plain ticket costs about 85? only from Spain.

In any case I plan on recording the most interesting speakers and try to get some pics and autographs. I just hope I can get to meet Hofmann, that'd be the highpoint of my life!

I'd need about $1,500 to get there from chi-town with the tickets and $500 to spare, but this might be my only chance to see Shulgin and especially Hoffmann, time to start saving up.

*bookmarked*

Im bringing my bicycle with me...

Hell no, no hitchhiking for at least a couple of years now

I have an interview today where I might get a quite well paid job (considering it's temporary). Then we'll see.

The girl in my signature is pure Photoshop posted in CGTalk some time ago, see here.

How are you?

Yeah, you should definitely see if there's a way you could get a good quality audio recording of this. All you really need to do is put your recorder on top of the speaker, right? I know you'll get the pics no problem.

What's up with Ram Das, Laura Huxley and Abram Hoffer? They're conspicuous by their absence. There are probably others I'm forgetting.

I'm trying to get permission to go to this and apply it towards my graduate school credits. We have to attend several seminars of which we get to pick. There usually pretty stricked about it being a APA,NIH or AMA sponsored seminar, but I may get to go and use it since it's in my area of intrest.
It'll be even sweeter if I can use some of my grant money to pay for it.

That'd be great if you could come!! That way I could meet you too, something I've always wanted to do

Are you planning on getting a full-access ticket or two days? I'm going for the full one for sure! If I get lucky enough and get that recommendation I might get to spend some quality time with some speakers; and that's an opportunity I can't afford to miss :yesnod:

Learyfan: I guess those would have something more important to do those days or even health problems, who knows  It's amazing that Hofmann is able to come tho, it'd be a few days after his 100th birthday! That man is amazing

Man, this is going to be the event of the decade. Some of these guys are really old and although I love them all, I don?t think they have many conferences or seminars left (ya know). So anyway, I'm still calculating all the expenses this will take, but I think I?ll be going
